Recover access to Source-Protected Routines and Add-On Instructions (AOIs) in Rockwell's Studio 5000 Logix Designer. Source Protection is a real, documented Studio 5000 feature built around an sk.dat source-key file — Rockwell's own documentation describes applying it to restrict a routine or AOI to read-only or no access. Rockwell's own security advisory (PN794) is also direct about its limits: Source Key Protection is a legacy access control, not a strong security boundary, which is exactly why a lost source key shouldn't permanently lock an owner out of their own logic. If you'd rather have it handled, I provide manual Allen-Bradley recovery support — done personally, with nothing sold or downloaded from this site.

Questions

Which products and versions does this cover?

It applies to Studio 5000 Logix Designer V30 through V38, RSLogix 5000 legacy versions, .ACD project files and .L5X XML exports, Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD) and Structured Text routines.

Who does the recovery?

I do, personally. Every job is manual — it isn't automated with a tool and it isn't resold to anyone else.

Do I have to own the equipment?

Yes. I only help owners and authorized maintainers regain access to their own projects — in line with the authorized-use-only policy on the channel.

Do you sell a tool or a download for this?

No. There are no tools for sale and no downloads on this site. Recovery is a manual service I perform or guide you through.
